Norton Clipper have been supplying quality floor saws for decades, and are widely recognised as the market leading brand. Classic models such as the C85, C94, C99 and CS1P10 have been improved upon even further in the guise of modern models such as the flagship CS451.
Used for cutting asphalt and concrete, Clipper floor saws have been re-engineered over the years to address and reduce vibration levels.
Clipper Petrol Floor Saws
The most popular type of floor saw made by Norton Clipper is fuelled by petrol, delivering a good balance between value and performance. Fuelled machines can of course be used with a certain amount of freedom without needing a power supply. Larger floor saws and road saws are typically powered by diesel, providing similar convenience to petrol but more economy on the heavy duty work.
Clipper Electric Floor Saws
Norton Clipper also make electric floor saws, such as the CS451 and CS7. Electric floor saws are best suited to indoor applications because there are no fumes and the noise is also reduced in comparison to fuelled models. Rather than 110V, these machines run on three-phase, 415V supply which delivers the requisite power for cutting asphalt and concrete.
Diamond Blades for Clipper Floor Saws
Most Floor Saws are sized between 14” and 18” and the most popular model, the CS451, is best with an 18” (450mm) blade. If cutting roads, the best blade for the job is the Extreme Asphalt. The other performance levels of Norton Clipper blades are branded as Classic and Pro. The Classic style has a lower proportion of synthetic diamond in the blade, which results in lower cost; and Extreme models have the highest diamond element which raises performance levels. Pro is a balance of performance and value.
The Pro 4×4 Explorer blade is a popular choice for floor saws as it delivers excellent performance on concrete and asphalt whilst offering superb value.
