Why should you choose a forced action mixer over a conventional rotating drum mixer?

Commonly referred to as a resin mixer, resin-bound mixer or pan mixer, because of the frequency that they are used to mix resin bound materials in particular and their mixing ‘pan’ style horizontal static drum, forced action mixers are not just designed for mixing resin bound materials; although a Baron mixer is considered by many to be an essential when working with resin-bound materials.

A Baron forced action mixer has the power and mixing ability to handle practically any mixing job and meet the many demands of site and the professional contactor.

Whether you are mixing resin, concrete, mortar, liquid screed, wet pour rubber, plaster, heritage cob and lime, or something else, a Baron forced action will produce a more thorough and more consistent high-quality finished mix, with greater efficiency and in a shorter time too (often taking half the time to mix the same volume of material as a rotating drum mixer). They have the power, versatility and capability to provide superior mixing agility on more challenging materials like epoxy with granulated rubber or stone as well.

Baron forced action mixers have gears that allow the mixing speed to be varied to best suit the viscosity, composition and make-up of the material to be mixed. The mixer drum itself remains static, while the mixing head with offset arms and paddles rotates, moving more mix and with greater efficiency than conventional rotating drum cement mixers which relies more on gravity to fold the material over and over on itself to mix it. They also have large, robust motors and mixing heads, which are more equipped to handle more challenging mixing jobs.

Baron mixers are also available with a wide range of mixing vessel capacities, ranging from 80 to 300 litres; making them ideal for small to production sized jobs. So, whether you are looking for a small cement mixer or you regularly mix in large volumes, there is a Baron mixer for you! (for reference, the 120-litre capacity E120 and F120 mixers can mix four standard bags of resin aggregates).

The mixer head of all Baron mixers can easily be removed for cleaning and mixer blades, easily interchangeable and to replace. The mixers themselves are powerful and are equipped with ergonomic handles, stable support legs and large rubber wheels, making them easy to move to and around site. They are also equipped with an efficient despatch chute and self-locking protective mixer drum cover with a safety switch for added operator safety. All F-line models feature four mixing arms, whereas the E120 has three mixing arms.

If you want to produce more consistent, high-quality mixing results in a shorter period of time with greater efficiency to your working day too, isn’t it time you used a Baron mixer?
