The VP-P is a compact and robust British Made petrol powered Power Drive Unit, also commonly known as a Poker Drive Unit or simply PDU in short.
This portable and fully self-contained drive system is designed to independently power a variety of differently sized mechanical pendulum concrete pokers shafts to remove air from newly poured concrete. It can also be used to power similar flexible shaft submersible water pumps with the same compatible Tow-Dog (bow tie) industry standard drive couplings.
The engine of the VP-P is mounted on 4 anti-vibration mounts and is enclosed in a tubular frame which is designed to both ease movement to and around site, as well as provide a degree of all-round protection.
Unlike some competitor models, the Red Band VP-P is powered by a 5.5Hp Honda GX160 petrol engine, rather than the lesser powered, less expensive 4Hp GX120 engine used by others.
