The Husqvarna P 524XR EFi features a unique articulated steering that allows the rear pair of wheels to swing underneath the mower, the result being superior manoeuvrability with a minimum turning radius at full lock and a turning circle of just 50cm. The heavy-duty hydraulic-cylinder power steering also makes driving less strenuous too.
Its low centre of gravity in combination with its high-performing AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) system gives excellent slope and hillside stability.
Using the incorporated FlexiDrive system which can seamlessly switch control of the mower from conventional seat mounted operation to remote-control enables the mower to safely cut areas of grass it would be not safe to in the seated position. For safety reasons, the mower can only be operated remotely when the operator’s seat is vacant and the remote-control is connected to the machine. A conveniently mounted toolbox on the engine hood rails provides both easy-access and protects the FlexiDrive unit from accidental damage and loss.
The compact size of the mower together with its unique articulated steering makes it easy to manoeuvre the machine in narrow spaces and tricky. The front mounted position of the cutting deck also provides users with excellent visibility, enabling precise, close-up trimming. It is suitable for use with a choice of 112 or 122cm Husqvarna Combi decks which are designed to deliver a top-class cutting result and which offer two cutting methods in one deck; mulching or rear discharge (mulch plug removed). The deck themselves are stamped from a single piece of steel plate in a flow-optimised design to deliver the best-in-class mulch result. Alternatively, it can be used with a 137cm Husqvarna R137 high-capacity cutting deck with rear discharge which is designed for productive mowing of areas of heavier grass. The low-profile front-mounted cutting deck position also gives unbeatable accessibility under fences, bushes, under obstacles like garden furniture, benches etc. For easy maintenance and extended product lifetime mandrels are greaseable. The service position facilitates easy cleaning and servicing of decks as required.
The mower has a strong heavy-duty steel ladder frame with reinforcements and an open design for excellent serviceability. The completer rear wagon is in one-piece ductile cast iron for improved durability. It is also equipped with a commercial grade transmission with high-specified variable piston pumps with separate gearboxes for the front and rear axle.
The P 524XR EFi is equipped with a powerful Kawasaki V-Twin EFI engine with overhead 90o valves which control the fuel injection and adjusts the ignition timing to assure maximum engine power with the lowest amount of exhaust emissions and the lowest fuel consumption.
