When the K540i is not being used, it can be safely stored away stored away until when next required, without having to worry about fuel going stale etc. The next time you need it, simply insert a suitably charged compatible battery, press the power button and you’re good to go.

The same applies to when you are using the K540i. Starting a petrol powered disc cutter is by no means instantaneous, which is why many users simply leave petrol saws idling until their next cut, burning fuel and money in the process. A battery powered saw in comparison only consumes energy/power when the trigger is depressed and the saw engaged – people often confuse the difference between the runtime of a saw and actually how much it is actually used (i.e trigger time – often the two can differ quite significantly). A fully charged battery will also cost substantially less to charge than a petrol saw to fuel. Combustion engines also require regular maintenance too, filters replacing, fuel mixing correctly etc.

The Husqvarna K540i has a compact design, slim body and low weight, making it incredibly easy to lift, control, manoeuvre and comfortable to use. The centered placement of the blade provides increased stability and control, while its side-feed battery placement is designed to maximise cooling and minimise slurry and dust containment. The in-house developed advanced brushless motor is 25% more efficient than a standard brush motor, providing higher and more consistent torque.

It has handles which are specifically developed to be comfortable and increase control for extra safety while cutting and is equipped with an X-Halt^™ electronic brake system which is capable of immediate motor stop.

Husqvarna have specially developed a custom range of bespoke diamond and metal cutting abrasive blades designed specifically for use with the K540i to compliment its technical characteristics and provide optimum cutting performance across a variety of mixed materials.
