Husqvarna Intensive Round Cut Files

Husqvarna Intensive Round Cut Files
A sharp and well-maintained chain is as important as the power of the engine in order to ensure that a chainsaw operates effectively, safely and cuts with precision. How often a chain needs to be sharpened often depends on its frequency of use. A good indication of the condition of a chain is the appearance of the wood chips produced; a sharper chain will produce fine and even wood chips, whereas a dull chain generates sawdust.
Husqvarna Intensive Round Cut Files are made with high-quality steel and are designed to keep your wood cutting chains sharp and in optimal condition, providing a 20% better cutting performance and longer lifetime; a correctly sharpened chain will make you work easier and safer.
You will need a corresponding file or combination gauge to sharpen chain cutters correctly, which are available as optional extras, often in varying convenient pack sizes, to best suit your personal frequency of use.
Filing the cutting teeth
File using a light and even pressure with gentle pushing strokes, parallel to the gauge; try to get the same length of all cutters.
Filing the depth gauge
File all the way down to the gauge. If you file the depth gauge without a tool you will risk of filing them too far dwon and the chain will produce chips, which are too thick.
