The principle of operation is thus. The QGH screed unit is simply securely clamped to a compatible beam set, which are then manually traversed (pulled) over level guides or rail with large surface areas that span the newly poured concrete slab to be worked. An enclosed eccentric weight located within the QGH produces a high-volume of vibrations, which are transmitted over the length of the attached beam set; maximum vibration is concentrated on the lead beam to level and compact the concrete, with lighter vibration applied to the trailing beam to produce a smooth finish suitable for a power float or manual finishing.
For improved operator comfort, the QGH drive unit is vibration dampened in such a way that to focus the vibrations produced onto and across the fitted beam set length and not the operator.
High-quality custom-made extendable beam sets designed specifically for use with the ENAR QGH include one made from aluminium (working width 2.5 – 4.5m) and made of steel (working widths 2.5 – 4.5 and 3.5 to 6.0m). Each double beam set consists of two extending beams, beam end profile braces (x2) and 2 x ring pull-handles as standard.
The QGH is equipped with a large eccentric amplitude which creates powerful vibratiions which transmit along the beam lengths to which it is attached, vibrating, compacting and smoothing the concrete in the process. The engine is mounted on 4 rubber dampeners which combined with the two large handle dampeners combine to greatly reduce operator vibration exposure levels and safe usage times. These dampeners also help to protect and improve the life of the engine too by isolating it from the vibrations produced.
The frame of the QGH dual beam screeder has 4 quick release levers for fast and easy connection and disconnection from the corresponding beam set of choice, reducing set-up time.
Vibrating twin beam screeds are highly favoured for striking off concrete because of their rugged, but simplistic, efficient, productive and durable design, together with their ease of use and fast screeding capability.
