The Husqvarna Wooden Sledge Axe is the heaviest and most powerful axe made for splitting logs and large chunks of wood.
This handy and efficient splitting axe is 80cm long and weighs 2.5kg.
The head of the axe has a hardened striking face in the neck which enables it to be used a sledgehammer and/or in combination with a splitting wedge. Only a sledge axe can withstand use as a sledgehammer.
It has a comfortable wooden handle and an axe head made from hand forged high-steel, hardened to stay sharp for a long time. It is also easy to resharpen and is supplied with a leather edge-cover too.
The axe head is attached to the handle using both a wooden and a steel wedge to ensure a secure fit.
