The Clipper Tungsten Carbide Abrasive Disc is typically used on anhydrite concrete screed before commencing tiling to effectively remove a thin surface layer of laitance (a weak and powdery residue that forms during the curing process). They can also be used for paint, epoxy, tile adhesive, carpet padding etc removal too.

Using a TCAD is an essential process for achieving a reliable tiling base; by roughening and exposing a stronger and more durable surface, which is more conducive to adhesion of tiles and furthermore preventing future issues like uneven bonding and eventual tile detachment.
