However, if you do not know the hardness of your floor and do not have a Mohs kit to hand, you can start with a tool for medium concrete and either simply move up or down in bond hardness and grit size depending on performance. If the tool cuts aggressively but produces a lot of dust and wears down very quickly, it is likely that you need to switch to a tool for soft concrete. If you find conversely that the tools are sliding on the surface and are not cutting well, it is often likely that you need to switch to a cool for hard concrete.

The Clipper CG MEDIUM Grind Wings have been custom-engineered for preparing medium concrete floors; levelling out unevenness, stripping away thin layers such as paint, or exposing the aggregate prior to polishing the concrete.
They are available in a choice grit sizes to best suit the application/process in hand, individual floor type and desired finish; 16/20 grit, 30/40 grit, 60/70 grit and 120/140 grit (the lower the grit size number, the coarser and more aggressive its working nature).
These high-performance Surface Grinding Wings are made of abrasive diamond particles embedded in a metal bond specially developed for use on medium concrete floors that provides excellent material removal and long life.
Clipper CG MEDIUM Grind Wings are conveniently supplied in a dedicated pack of 9 wings for optimum grinding performance, with custom packaging detailing their use. Suitable for both wet and dry use. They are also conveniently etched and colour coded for quick and easy identification.
The Quick Fasten fastening system of the CG MEDIUM Grind Wings allows you to change tools with ease and in the minimum of downtime for improved efficiency and productivity.
Recommended for use with the Clipper CG MULTI 430 multi-surface and multi-use floor grinding and surface preparation machine.
