Makita’s DKP181Z is a brushless planer for trimming doors, chamfering and smoothing timber. It’s powered by Makita’s 18V LXT platform.
AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) pairs with a compatible Makita dust extractor, switching it on and off automatically with the tool. ADT (Automatic Torque Drive Technology) adjusts speed and torque automatically to suit the load, so you don’t need to keep changing settings. Other features include 2-blade cutter head with double-edge carbide blades, chip ejection to either side and spring-loaded stand.
