Makita’s DHR242Z is a brushless SDS-Plus rotary hammer for drilling and light chiselling in concrete and masonry. It runs on Makita’s 18V LXT battery platform.
It offers 2.0 J of impact energy, a no-load speed of 0 – 950 rpm and 0 – 4700 impacts per minute. It takes SDS-Plus bits, which lock in quickly and transfer hammer energy efficiently into masonry and concrete. 3-mode operation lets you switch between rotary drilling, hammer drilling and hammer-only chiselling. An electric brake stops the motor quickly when you release the trigger, giving you better control.
Supplied as body only, battery and charger sold separately.
