The Active ACT300 is a professional petrol-powered pedestrian turf cutter with a productive 300mm/12” working width and a maximum cutting depth of up to 35mm, with many features and benefits that make it the ideal choice for stripping and lifting turf from domestic gardens and open areas.

This compact and robust 2-speed machine is powered by a reliable genuine Honda GX200 engine and has 2 forward gears ; the 1^st gear is for when the blade is engaged into the ground to allow it to drive at a speed best suited for cutting turf up to 35mm deep, whilst the 2^nd gear is for transporting the machine to the desired location of use. It is equipped with adjustable and detachable handles for easy transportation and has pneumatic tyres for easy movement.

To use the Active 300 simply set the blade to the desired depth of cut (up to 6 cutting height positions available) and engage the oscillating blade, select 1^st gear and let the machine do the work. Once you have come to the end of the first cut, simply turn the machine around, line up the outside of the front wheel with the edge of the first cut and continue, repeating as necessary.

Top tip: Before using the turf cutter to irrigate the lawn the night before, making the soil wet. This will make it easier for the blade to cut through the turf and will allow you to also roll up the turf in manageable sizes too. It is also recommended that the grass is cut as short as possible before starting to strip the turf.
