The R1420 has longer sized segments to give better stability to the ring, making it more solid and stiff, which helps to cut a straight cut. Furthermore, the design of the segments improves cooling and slurry transportation, effecting both speed and life in a positive way. The self sharpening segments are designed to provide a free-cutting tool, regardless of the direction of blades rotation and are suitable for use with the K3600, K950, K960 and K970RS ring saws.
