OilGuard
The incorporated optical detection of the K770 OilGuard is designed to prevent engine damage caused by wrong fuel-oil mix or oil type.

It is designed to be used primarily with genuine Husqvarna OilGuard high-quality 2-stroke oil which contains a colorant which the detection of the K770 OG looks for. If it is not present then the RPM of the saw is greatly reduced to prevent potential oil. Should the user wish to use other two-stroke oils (i.e non-OilGaurd oil), the preventive detection system can simply be manually de-activated can quickly and easily de-activated simply by pulling out the OilGuard button on the rear handle of the saw. Not all oils are of the same quality nor viscosity. Husqvarna OilGuard oil complies with the highest JASO/ISO-Global EBD standards and is suitable for use with all two-stroke engines.

The light magnesium blade guard of the K770 OilGuard is quick and easy to adjust thanks to its stepless manual adjustment which requires no tooling.
