Honda WB20 Centrifugal Water Pump Drive - 4Hp Petrol
The Honda WB20 centrifugal pump is powered by a 4Hp Honda 4-stroke petrol engine, delivering a flow of 590 litres per minute.
The WB20 is suitable for drainage and irrigation, particularly in the hire fleet thanks to its reliability and robust design. The protective tubular steel housing acts as a reliable carry frame, with reduced vibration.
The key components are made from cast iron, offering increased resistance to abrasion; and the overall build quality lends itself well to the pumping of discoloured water found on building sites.

Centrifugal pumps are heavy duty site pumps for the quick and efficient removal of flood and ground water. Honda machines are of course powered by a reliable Honda petrol engine, in this case delivering 4Hp of power.
All sorts of site water can be tackled by the WB20, even solid particles up to 6mm diameter. The dimensions of the drive unit are 356 x 470 x 350mm
With a flow rate of over 500 litres per minute (over 100 gallons), a centrifugal pump is more than twice as productive as the most powerful sub pump.
We recommend using a combination of 2" spiral hose (for inward pumping) and 2" layflat hose (for outward pumping), both of which can be bought alongside the unit by selecting from the dropdown menu.
The video on this page shows the pump in action, with the hose combination above. Whilst the pump cannot be submerged, the engine casing does offer rain protection, and you can see the starting reliability of the Honda GX120 engine. This demonstration uses clean water but the WB20 is designed to be used with discoloured flood water.
