Norton Clipper CM501 Major 18-20" Masonry Saw

The Clipper CM501 masonry saw is the original site workhorse since 1937. Not only does it lead its class, it is universally recognised as the industry benchmark for masonry and stone cutting saws, dominating building sites, educational institutions and industrial facilities alike around the world. When people think of a brick saw, they are generally thinking of the CM501 Clipper Major.

This high performance masonry saw is suitable for cutting a wide variety of smaller and medium sized materials such as bricks, blocks, concrete, natural stone, refractory products, roof tiles and masonry materials. The Clipper CM 501 Major is the successor to the highly popular Clipper EDW Major, which was the clear favourite of the construction industry for over 30 years. It retains many of the same features as the EDW and is equally as responsive, quick and easy to use.

The CM501 with its more flowing design and contours is considered to be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. This highly popular, highly versatile bench saw includes an integrated recirculating water pump for wet cutting applications and fork lift eyes for ease of transportation. It can alternatively be used for dry cutting applications or connected to a mains feed or purified water supply. The flat conveyor cart of the saw includes friction resistant tilted wheels, which provide better cart stability, fluid free-flowing movement and improved accuracy of cut.

Such is the flexibility of the saw, it is used for an incredibly diverse range of applications, from general site and educational use, cutting refractories in industrial facilities, teaching the next generation of construction workers in educational institutions to a core saw cutting core samples in the depths of Siberia or remote locations like the gold fields of Africa.

When using a CM501 the reason for its popularity, success and market dominance for so very long is evident and clear.
