Battipav are a well-respected and highly regarded Italian manufacturer of quality construction equipment, who have specialised in the production of tile cutting machines and wet saws for the building sector for over forty years. They are also the largest producer of submersible pumps used in the manufacture of wet saws today. Italy is considered by many to be the home of natural stones (granite, marble etc) and Italian equipment manufacturers are highly regarded because of their conversancy and experience cutting hard materials and stones used in construction.

The Elite 80S is an exceptional intermittent use masonry saw ideal for cutting an incredibly wide variety of bricks, blocks, masonry materials, concrete products, roof tiles, large ceramic tiles, natural stones, porcelain etc. Its compact size makes it easy to use, transport and store.

It is highly portable, with two sets of carrying handles, one pair at the front and another at the rear of the saw, together with a robust, high quality transport wheel kit with 200mm diameter rubber wheels and sliding ‘fast leg’ design retractable legs with quick release/locking levers which enable quick and easy setup and dismantling after use. The two sets of handles enable two men to either carry the saw or one person to effectively tow/wheel it.

The blade guard of the Elite is easy to access (no tools required), which permits quick and easy blade exchange. The guard is lined on the inside with a layer of insulation foam which reduces the whistling sound made from the cutting blade whilst spinning, ideal when being used in urban and other noise sensitive areas. The laser cutting guide of the saw provides precise cutting results, whatever the angle of the cutting head. The cutting head is spring loaded and can quickly and easily be secured in a fixed position, or easily angled for mitre cutting. The laser cutting of the 80S is control board mounted together with the operating on/off switch (with release coil) and overheat protection with manual reset, all at a convenient fingertip control.

The Elite 80S is equipped with a submersible water pump which enables water to be efficiently recirculated from the bed of the saw for wet cutting applications, The bed/tray is made from a ABS plastic material which is stepped and incremented to capture sediment in its falls and divide and reduce the heavies deposited from proximity of the pump so that recirculated water is cleaner. It is also easy to empty, clean and replace in the event of becoming damage.

The work table is made from aluminium and is strong, sturdy and rigid, vital component qualities required for accurate cutting. It slides on two steel square rails with 6 wheels on each (4 over and 2 under), every wheel having 2 ball bearings, making 12 in total, which combine to provide a smooth, stable sliding motion. The work table is also anti-tilt for improved operator safety and features a simple yet effective cart lock for safe transportation purposes.
